Calvin, I have lost track with the changes in the Brigade in recent times but more so at your station 07 Littlehampton with the new day manning system being in operation. Please can you advise what is to become of the "Yellow" D I have noted it is no longer on the station and is at an un-named location as I saw it the other day when I passed are you all going to sell it, or attempt to keep it on really loved the appliance and would like to know what the future holds.

Hi Bob.I did Littlehampton's Open Day in 2009 with some of my model collection and spoke to Nigel Stringer, he certainly wasn't to happy. It appears that his old yellow Dennis'D'Series at that time didn't even have an MOT Certificate so could'nt even be taken off station.Having put alot of time and money into restoring the appliance twenty years before, he was even prepared to get it MOT'd out of his own pocket.
Calvin phoned me today and said that Brigade wanted it off station because the rear-bay was required for the'Day Manning'crew so its no longer there and in a tempory location(un-covered)until a permanent home can be found.Amberley Museum have been approached to see if they can help.
Oh by the way----its still not MOT'd.Pete.

It's a shame, such a lot of time and money invested in keeping a part of our fire service heritage operating for our grand children to see first hand what used to be on the run. Far too many brigades these days are turning their backs on the enthusiast whilst cossiting us with the emphasis on "Community". The community calls in and they look at us with fear and paranoia. I was asked at Rhyl a couple of months back for ID. I've been photographing there since I was thirteen, 1983, and getting information out of NWF&RS is a taboo subject. Good luck Nigel and Calvin with your move.

i can confirm with the group that Worthings Scania HX58 KHW has gone on the run today as 07p1 and HX04 WGE was taken away to go to another station. I will try and get a new line up shot once I get my camera back.
