Was this drill for the benefit of the Ciren crews to familiarise themselves with the vehicle? Given Gloucester is not in need of a new rescue truck at the moment I take it both of these are pumps only?

Hi Peter all the new Scanias coming into service within GFRS are Rescue Pumps. Gloucester were over showing us the extra equipment and how to use it. When Gloucester and Cheltenhams Special Rescue Units are retired in the very near future the county will only have Rescue Pumps.

Hi Des, what is the view of crews on the arrival of the Scanias as opposed to Sabres? Is there disappointment at the "demise" of Dennis and having to look elsewhere? I thought Gloucestershire would go with larger MANs' for the bigger stations.
