West Yorkshire MAN 4X4 Pump

WX10 CTV. MAN 4x4 Pump with bodywork by Emergency One. Seen here at North Yorkshire fire and rescue Training Centre. North Yorkshire are in the process of looking for an appliance to replace the Mercedes Benz 4x4 fleet they run at present, the vehicle on the left of the MAN is the type for replacement. This MAN is a very impressive appliance and will be going on the run very soon. This is one of 2 bought be the brigade to tackle fires on the vast areas of moorland in the brigade area.

Very smart looking. Wouldn't surprise me if Strathclyde requested a wee look at it with the intention of ordering 1 or 2.

Nah Strathclyde wouldn't want these. They don't get 4x4 appliances unless you know something I don't.

Added by Steve Bonner on 14 September 2010.
Steve you forget that Strathclyde already has two of these although with the older MAN cab style in SF04YFA and SF04YEY which are both MAN LE10.225F 4x4/Emergency One

I do know about them they are volunteer units and not full Pumping appliances the same as rescue pumps

Added by Steve Bonner on 21 September 2010.
What is a full pumping appliance? I thought the le10 had the same pumping capacity as the Scanias in the former Strathclydes fleet, I feel you do the volunteer firefighters a dis-service, they have to deal with hill and forest fires the city centre gents have never seen the like of.
