Where's West End Fire Station- I have never heard of it before

Added by David Jones on 18 November 2011.
West End Fire Station was in Orchards Way(West End)which was a medium size village on the outskirts of Southampton in Hampshire, England.
The station is a retained one and was Station C39 of the Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service.

Thanks for that information Pete. Do you know if the station is still there and if so what it is now used for?

Added by David Jones on 20 November 2011.
Hi David, the old(Soton)West End Fire Station in Orchard Way just off the High Street was situated within the borough of Eastleigh, north east of the city of Southampton, and although now closed its still there today and still looks like a fire station.
Today the old station is a local History Museum and Heritage Centre and can easily be viewed on your search engine by just putting in West End Fire Station.........Enjoy.
