North Wales Mercedes/Saxon/Angloco ET

Seen at Wrexham Open Day (Thanks Guys!). M53BEY was new to Wrexham in 1995,she replaced Dodge S56/Mountain Range ET A737MDB. Fitted with a Saxon Crew cab and Angloco body,it was Clwyds first appliance with slide out equipment racks. It was also 4x4 and carried a HIAB 090 rear mounted crane. The picture shows its refurbished livery,it was replaced in 2009 at Wrexham by YJ51AWA formerly the ET at Dolgellau.

The appliance looks incredibly modern/good for a 15 year old Welsh appliance.

The 51 reg ET does not have a HIAB though and has 3 lockers to each side, the winch access being where the HIAB is mounted on this. Also YJ51AWA has twin sets of Wailers and Two tone horns. I will try and upload another shot of present ET.

They must be thinking of doing something with it as it was at Llandudno Junction workshops a couple of weeks ago. I believe its unkitted. It would make a good Animal Rescue Unit.
