Land Rover FC ex Army Fire Service XEU 51K

1988 Duxford rally. Bodybuilder unknown. Land Rover has been re-registered after leaving Army FS. UAF appears elsewhere on this site. See picture #8370 for debate about what kind of Land Rover this is.... 101? 110? 2b FC?

Petros, the body was HCB Angus "Firefly" .Chassis hmmm! Allegedly it is Series 2,Forward Control, 110 inch wheelbase. As the 101FC Is a 1 tonne chassis and these were designated as "Truck Firefighting 1 1/4 ton 110FC" I would assume it is a military special, the extra 9 inches providing extra weight distribution.

I am currently restoring one (again, been laid up for a few years). They are a IIB supplied to HCB-Angus as a chassis cowl with modifications including alternator. I have a set of original works drawings & a Landrover Part manual to hand if I can help anyone out. When it was last on the road it weighed just under 4.5T fully kitted, full tank of water & 4 man crew !
BTW - I'm located in Kent.

I would love to know what happened to UAF339, my old F8. Any ideas. Was at Chatham dockyard for a wee while, but dissipated !!!

It does not seem to have been taxed since 1995...although the reg is still 'live' to the Dennis. It is not recorded in the Dennis Society preserved register. It is either hiding in a barn or yard somewhere or it has been scrapped without informing DVLA....If anyone has further information I would love to hear about it.
