So happy to see a photo of an old friend! As a 8-year old boy in 1977, had a pic taken of myself in front of this old girl on a visit to Wxm Fire Station. Still got it....somewhere!

Added by David Evans on 16 December 2009.
I had the good fortune of being shown round this by Wxm retained member(much appreciated) around same time, then watching the 2nd and 3rd (then both retained turn out to a barn fire. The standby move being Chirk in their ERF arriving on Blues&Twos ah Cranshaw(sorry Chirk!) fire station were a brigade of their own in those days!

Gary - can you possibly make my day and tell me that our old friend pictured here is safe in preservation?

Added by David Evans on 02 March 2012.
I never seen her on circuit, but it doesnt mean its not hiding in a field somewhere!

Thanks Gary - fingers crossed! Any chance you could email me the above photograph? Would like to frame a print of it.

I have finally found her! She's decaying in a field just outside Llandegla....

In the old forestry looking very green. Was not there 12 months ago so must move. Its one of the few that survived the Planning Committee decision. The Commer Q4 was there still too.

I just wish I had the means to rescue her...absolute shame.

Whilst she is there she is safe. Think a group should be made, its one of a kind
