Paul, a sister machine to this one, SAJ 806 is preserved in East Anglia. I saw it in 2003 at the Bressingham rally in Norfolk and more information can be found on the FSPG East Anglia Branch website.

North Riding liked their HCB-bodied Bedfords and operated a large fleet of S, D and J types in the 50s and 60s. They had six D4s, three in 1957 (RAJ 766/7/8) and three in 1958 (SAJ 804/5/6) - good to see that two survive.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to whether the former North Riding Bedford EAJ403C still survives? It saw service with Cleveland fire brigade.
