Chassis / Cab:

Mercedes-Benz Vario 815D 4x2.
Rated GVW: 7,490 kg. Engine: 150 hp (110 kW).
Transmission: Allison automatic 4-speed fully automatic.
Cab: Air conditioned Mercedes-Benz four door crew cab for six persons (including driver). Cab designed to comply with ECE Regulation 29 Part A & B (Cab Test Regulations).
Four quick-don SCBA brackets for the rear crew positions.
Installed Equipment:

Front mounted 24V, 3,630 kg line pull winch with electronic load limiting device to switch off winch automatically at rated capacity. FIREXPRESS self contained extinguisher mobile unit, 50 litre water or alternatively premixed AFFF-AR foam tank capacity. Pressurised by compressed air cylinder. 30m hose reel with dual nozzle.
Superstructure:

All steel fixed body panel van. Driver's and crew compartment with hinged doors. Rear compartment separated from crew cab compartment by panelled bulkhead and roof reinforced for heavier top deck load bearing. Floor lined with heavy gauge positive grip aluminium tread plates. Two large opening lockers per side and one at the rear, enclosed by anodised aluminium alloy roller shutters.
Height adjustable stowage racking and shelves, including pull-out equipment trays.
Deck mounted ladder gantry with 6.3m double extension push-up rescue ladder.
Roof access ladder hinged to rear body, with swing aside facility giving full access to rear roller shutter locker.
Rear locker compartment contains FIREXPRESS unit mounted on a pull out tray with turntable device allowing hose reel to rotate to either side for ease of hose reel deployment.
Ladder gantry for 2-section push up 6.3m rescue ladder.
Accessories:


Full width light bar and flashing lighting heads at the rear. Side mounted intersection and area working lights.


Dashboard mount demountable spotlight with short wander lead.


Demountable searchlight with cable reel on top deck and tripod.


Dash mount officer’s demountable spotlight with short wander lead.


Comprehensive range of rescue and fire fighting equipment including; air lifting bag set, oxy-acetylene cutting set, power cutter, chain saw, explosive gas detector, portable fire extinguisher, life jackets, various rescue lines and harnesses, oxygen resuscitation set, loudhailer, 'Cengar' saw, portable 'Tifor' winch, shackles, shovels, spades, stretchers, etc.
