hi, are these HRT's actually on the run yet

Added by Dave on 06 November 2009.
Crawley's has been on the run afew weeks now,Chichester I believe also went on the run quiet recently, where as this one at Worthing according to local newspaper today(7/11/09)it says,"three fire stations have been officially handed the keys to four new fire engines, Shoreham,Worthing and Lancing have all received new appliances".Actually,Worthing and Shoreham's new Scania pumps went on the run a little while back, but finally Lancings has now gone on the run.The fourth appliance in question is the new Scania HRT for Worthing, this also now is finally going on the run.

Hi Pete. I heard that Crawley's HRT was on the run about a week ago, put have been seeing the old one in the front bay. And I believe it was still there yesterday. Any ideas why that is.

Funny that,I really don't know whats going on.A couple of weeks ago I understand Crawley's old Mercedes HRT was transferred to Horsham. The old Turner's Hill WrT that was turned into an Emergency Tender for Horsham was seen at Worthing because there Mercedes HRT as now gone, but the new Scania HRT still was'nt ready to go on the run.If the old Mercedes HRT is now back at Crawley, maybe they've still got problems.Wonder what Horsham have now got?,Turners Hill's old WrT
come Emergency Tender again I expect.
Maybe Calvin can keep us all up-dated,its certainly getting more like a jigsaw puzzle now not knowing where those last few bits fit into the equation.

Hi Pete I think I might know whats going on. Today I drove past Crawley Fire Station and noticed that both the station's new and old HRTs weren't there, and that Horsham's Emergency Tender was there and in Crawley's third bay. So it sounds like to me that Horsham's Emergency Tender has been covering Chichester, Worthing and now Crawley, while their new and old HRTs have been at one of the counties workshops having their equipment transfered over....ect.
