Bedford TKEL at Rye.

This picture was taken around 1989/90 when the new station in Rye was opened. This Bedford, PUF 419R replaced the old Ford which went back into the reserves. It was first stationed at the Ridge, Hasting then came to Rye as they now could fit 2 full size pumps in the new station. It ran for a while as a WT then it had a 13.5m ladder fitted changing its call sign from Whiskey 20 to Lima 202 with the CSV running as Lima 20.It was replaced in 1990 with a Volvo which then put the CSV to second away.

I'm pretty sure PUF 419R was one of the machines that East Sussex donated to the Guyana Fire Service in South America in 1993. I will try to confirm.
