Bedford HCB Angus CSV at Rye.
This shot and the one of the Ford were taken around 1985. This Bedford was running as the first away WT with the Ford as the WTL. The Bedford was a replacement for the Dennis D Jag (WPM 558J) which crashed on route to a call in Kent.It has a different rear to the first batch of CSV's run by East Sussex. This pump spent its whole front line operational life at Rye then at training centre. It became a WTL when the old station closed and the present one opened. The Ford was replaced with another Bedford PUF 419R which came from the Ridge station in Hastings. I meant to add these pics ages ago, sorry for the delay.
