Frank, do you have any more pictures of this machine, especially of the crane at the rear? The American 'Holmes' crane was the de-facto standard, but because of its success it was widely copied.

Still used by the BFRD to tow written-off or wrecked appliance.Callsign&station still the same.

Sorry Barry, this is the only photo I made of this machine

Beside this the BFRD also owns two Mitsubishi RV.One of them have its towing section modified to a new towing system.Plus the marking, paint&livery is changed too.

yep, its towing section looks like the American Holmes. I will take its photos when i go to the BFRD HQ again.

Its a 'hobby' for the BFRD mechanics to remove the DENNIS word. More Dennis appliances receive the same fate. After year 2000 the Berakas FS become a junkyard to store old appliances before they are sold.

To Barry: Yesterday I went to the BFRD workshop and found this RV 2 in new beacon, paintwork and striping scheme. Unfortunately the mechanics are not available at the workshop to drive it out the garage. I also photograph the rear towing unit and the scattered Dennis appliances at the nearby appliances graveyard.

Bomba Boy, we would love to see your new Dennis pictures, even if it does make us sad to see Dennis's at the end of their lives.
