I only thought Gilbarco made petrol pumps.... man am I surprised to see this!

Gilbarco also build the Mercedes-Benz tankers for the Australian army

Um, where is the water-tank... or, is it one of those "Removable Tanks", which is off, in this picture?

I can only assume that the water tank is down low on the chassis of this ACCO!

Added by Joe Hupp on 02 October 2009.

The unit was used for small grass fires around the airfields and the watertank is low on the chassis

Thanks, Frank and Joe - the water-tank must be really fitted, around the chassis members, the drive-shaft (prop shaft), rear axle and differential !
