Off road hose trucks are common in French SDIS fire stations, where they have significant forest and or brush fire risks in their response areas.

They are also frequently found in many German fire companies, which cover the same kinds of risks in remote areas without readily accessible water sources.

Tokyo also operate several Unimog 4X4 off-road LDH hose layers for relays especially following earthquakes, when water mains can be broken and road surfaces damaged. These are teamed up with other Unimogs carrying high volume independently powered pumps. Photos of these unique rigs can be seen on this site.

Although it has a population of only 126, 000, Colmar is a rather isolated town and as a result it has a very large fire station with a big selection of special purpose rigs like these, as well as numerous pumpers, tankers, aerials and ambulances.

If you want to try to count them all, try Youtube "Pompiers Colmar" and keep your finger near the pause button.
