Many thanks for this shot, it is an unusual model, MAN wide cabin with metz ladder!!

Is this ex-UK? Because Staffordshire had one of these at Burton until recently, and East Sussex had a couple too. I think their were stationed at Brighton and possibly Hastings.

This one was indeed an East Sussex T.L.It was first stationed at Eastbourne and then became the brigade spare for the last part of its career. It was sold back to angloco when the A.L.P went on the run at Hastings in 2004 which replaced the G reg M.A.N T.L which I think is now in Scottland being used for spares with a brigade.

Can I just point out that in actual fact the East Sussex Fire Brigade operated 3 MAN/Angloco/Metz 100ft Turntable Ladders. The first(A210 CYJ)from 1983 went to Preston Circus in Brighton and served there until 1993 and then went to Bexhill. The Angloco appliance that went to Brighton was the first MAN/Angloco appliance in the UK from Angloco which was fitted with a Metz 100ft Ladder.
The second MAN/Angloco/Metz went on the run at Eastbourne in 1987(reg-E184 BPN),and the third went on the run at Hastings in 1990(reg-G408 rap).

The G-reg MAN sat at Newbridge OSC ( L&B ) until quite recently then sold on though to whom am not sure but it had been parted out for ladder parts.

If this TL is auto then it is either Eastbourne or Hastings. TL Brighton had a manual one a210 CYJ

I think that this (A210 CYJ) may be the engine that was busy rescuing residents from the Grand Hotel in October 1984 alongside the ERF HP from Hove.

..Not forgetting Worthing's ERF HP MPX 842J which also attended the Grand Hotel bomb along with Worthings RT - the HP is easily spotted in photos of the incident due to it's Coventry Yellow livery although it had a red cab by then. I assume Hove's HP attended as well as Brightons TL, but I do not remember seeing it in any pictures of that sad day.

This rig is very similar to what was once the standard TTL in Berlin too.

This picture must show E184 BPN ex Eastbourne.

The G reg ended up in Scotland, and the A reg was bought at auction in 2015 by a post on this site.
