Buckinghamshire Mercedes Urbanranger command unit
Buckinghamshire Mercedes Urbanranger command unit.
The Mercedes OH1416 bus chassis with Wright Urbanranger bodywork was introduced to the British market in 1995 but was not a great success with only around twenty being sold. Most went into PSV service, the exception being P442 YWL, which was purchased by Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue as a command unit. This unique vehicle is based at brigade headquarters in Aylesbury but seen here at the Broughton fire station open day on 3rd August 2008.
