Thanks Adam, a grand machine, apart from its white bits!!

I like the fact, considering this picture was taken in 2008, the appliance still carried the older county crest (in between the doors) which was on all the machines in the 80's and through the 90's ... Not something you see on any of the other appliances! It was also taken on a hot sunny day too, I found out my phones camera setting was set to cloudy, that's why it looks abit of a miserable photo lol

Adam its a good shot! Its a lovely machine and having used one for years I always like seeing any pictures. could never get on with Clevelands colour scheme though, reminded me of some of our old West Riding pumps that got the bread van treatment in the seventies!

Ah, for me fire engines don't look right unless they've got the white front... having grown up round here...

Well Pete, cant blame you for that mate, but some of us hold grudges about some old North Yorkshire pumps and what happened in a certain spray bay!!!

Spill the beans John, do you mean the Yellow Perils ?

We still have a fair few Dennis SS machines in Service today, Only in reserve mind, I seen M812 TVN still in its vermilion livery at Skelton as a Reserve. The Coulby Newham ET (H5), Strantons CU (I5) and Stocktons ET (B5) all have the new livery on them introduced in 2003, I have only seen 1 non-specialised Dennis SS with the new livery, M813 TVN.

This came out of service in 2010 with its sisters L679/80 FPY .. L679 FPY has been preserved, the whereabouts of 680 & 681 are unknown, any ideas ?
