Unusual cab design, providing for a full width crew compartment.

The LF 10/6 is a compact unit designed to meet a national specification standard for German volunteer fire companies' first response, with a 1000 LPM pump and a 600 liter tank, although individual buyers often specify a 900 liter tank. Like many such units, this example is on a 4X4 chassis.

Borstendorf, with a village population of 1, 414 people, has 34 unpaid volunteer firefighters including six females, as well as a junior firefighter section. Along with this MAN 10/6, they operate a second 4X4 light pump on a Vario chassis and a VW Transporter personnel carrier.
