This is an awd fire engine . This kind of engine (IVECO Grizzly) mainly is in service in the mountain area fire stations between Firenze and Bologna

Very similar to the Renaults, MANs and Unimogs in service with French departmental fire services, which have to deal with serious brush and forest fire risks. Note the self-protection nozzles in the white safety cage tubing, but no visible sparge piping.

The remote controlled monitor is easily detachable, to tilt the cab, and can be operated by the driver or OIC while the truck is on the move, so-called "pump and roll".

This truck does have quite a lot of equipment on board as well as a ladder, which suggests it may be called on to attend structure fires in remote areas, as well as brush incidents. The downside is that it has less room for water, and the tank is probably 2000 to 3000 liters, instead of the 4, 000 or 6, 000 carried on many of France's dedicated brush pumpers.
