Chattanooga, TN Seagrave pumper

3-9-09, Chattanooga, TN. A true American classic! Late 70's Segrave 500/1000 pumper. It's older than a lot of the Firefighters there! Serving as E-4, they were apparently 2nd on scene and laid a 5" supply line into Quint 10. Love that bell.

Great to see it pumping away, still in service; and well-looked after.

Most of its contemporaries are rusting away in the junk-yards. Alas.

Just when you think he's fallen off the planet, the Fireman comes out with a piece of brilliance like this!!

Thanks Pav. And no, I haven't fallen off the planet, yet. Just real busy at my railroad. In fact, I was at our locomotive shop when I kept hearing sirens and investigated. Found this fire and shot what I could. Brilliance? Nawww, wait until you see their (Chattanooga's) parade trucks. I'll shoot them in a month er 2.
