'WHITE' Dennis F46 - DWT 472H

Further to Paul Warnock's contribution (picture #5916) - the above picture shows the West Riding Dennis F46 DWT 472H in it's current state of disrepair. This appliance has now been purchased by myself and Stewart Kaye, and will shortly be transported back to Yorkshire ready to undergo restoration. It will reside in our lock up alongside CWT 762H - 2 of only 3 "White" Dennis F46 (of 35) known to survive.

Hi Mark. Its fantastic you have found this appliance and its going to be restored, I would love to see it when complete, along with your other Dennis.

Brilliant! What a result. It looks pretty complete, I trust it is solid and will be a fairly straight forward restoration. Good luck it's going to be so worthwhile.

To have a matching pair will be really impressive especially to see them shown together and (if I am not mistaken) on their home turf.

I love these as found photos, even better when compared with once restored pictures.

Just noticed the unusual mounting of the two tones.

If good things are always meant to come in three's, perhaps the other white appliance will also emerge! I hope you have plenty of room.

Hi Mark, Fantastic to find 2 of these grate machines being restored. I have many photos, both colour and B/w, as my Father drove BWU 718H at Keighley for many years. We aren't too far from Huddersfield and I wondered if I could bring him along to see these superb machines. Let me know what you think. Thanks

Hi Martin, if you are willing and able to post some of your photos on here, I for one would love to see them.

Did you complete the restoration?
