AEC

AEC stands for Associated Equipment Company. AEC was a United Kingdom based manufacturer of vehicles like buses and trucks. It was founded in 1912 and became part of Leyland Motors Ltd in 1962 (later named British Leyland). The brand name was dropped however in 1977 and the Southall, England, plant was closed in 1979.

If anyone can provide me with some more information, please do, as info on the AEC as a manufacturer of fire engines / chassis is very limited.
