Peugeot, part of PSA Peugeot Citroen, is a French manufacturer of cars and vans. Peugeot was founded in 1882 and has its headquarters in Sochaux, France. In 1975 Peugeot acquired Citroen with the help of subsidies by the French Government. Subsequently it took over the European activities of Chrysler, amongst which was the brand Simca. Rebranding these as Talbot and dropping this again in 1986.
