In the UK Fire photography is something of an oddity, thankfully apparatus photography seems to be a little more known about and accepted.
I do a great deal of Fire related photography with Essex County Fire Service, usually spend at least two shifts with them a week.
My claims to fame I suppose would be a few industry related publications, pics in Fire Trucks in Action calendar two years for the latest two issues and a few newspaper pics and stories.
I am honouree member of NJMFPA and was presented with the Presidents award in 2004.
Other than that I lead a pretty quiet life :-)
